The GreenHouse, as the name suggests, is a haven of nature amidst the urban landscape. The design inspiration stems from the desire to provide patrons with a unique experience, surrounded by plants that not only beautify the space but also purify the air. This concept of fresh beer in fresh air sets The GreenHouse apart from other dining establishments.
What makes The GreenHouse unique is its utilization of a large terrace and a smaller built-up area. The design follows a terrace garden theme, with plants adorning every corner. The indoor and outdoor spaces flow seamlessly into each other, creating a unified dining experience.
The design realization of The GreenHouse adheres to a natural material palette. Rough cut stone adorns the bar counter wall, while the other walls are clad with stone cut in brick tile size, complemented by wood in the interior. The outdoor area features flooring done in brick tiles, further enhancing the natural ambiance.
The GreenHouse spans a total area of 400 sq.mt., including the terrace, and can accommodate 140 covers. The space is divided into three distinct yet interconnected areas. The entry foyer, abundant with plants and trees, leads guests to either the indoor or outdoor area. The toilets are strategically placed at the end of the space, encouraging guests to explore the entire area.
Research played a crucial role in the design process, particularly in the selection of indoor and outdoor flora. Plants were chosen based on their ability to produce oxygen and absorb harmful pollutants from the air. One of the main creative challenges was to combine the covered area and the outdoor terrace into one large area, and then sub-divide it into smaller pockets for privacy without creating much visual partitions.
The GreenHouse is not only a testament to innovative design but also a recipient of prestigious recognition. It was awarded Silver in A' Hospitality, Recreation, Travel and Tourism Design Award in 2018, a testament to its outstanding expertise and innovation.
